Default Sony Walkman NWZ-S754 (Pictures and Size Comparison)

Picked up a S Series Walkman this week thought I'd post a few pictures comparing it to other portable devices including my Zune HD and older walkman.

great photos, hmm is that vaio FW series? or the F series, looks like the FW, lol

is the screen slightly raised on the new S series or is that just the lighting that makes it appear like that

Indeed it is the FW series and as for the screen being raised its just the lighting. I think Sony also put a screen protector on the unit since there seems to be some type of thin film over the screen. I don't want to try taking it off because it isn't noticable unless you put it under direct light and look very close.

nice looking player - i'm digging the metal construction and the tru-black.

What is your opinion of tru-black? how much better is it than standard tft lcd screens?

The screens colors are very deep and everything looks very crisp and dark. Night and day difference between the old walkman and the new one. I'll try posting a picture later comparing the two.

Such a beautiful player, I really like the design styling that sony is going after right now! Except the S series players in America are ugly as heck, hahaha. Hopefully these come to America soon, but I'll hold on tom my s639 for now

I'm really kicking myself for not getting a passport here in the US. Used to be able to cross with just a birth certificate, but not anymore. I'm about 20 minutes from the border and I see they sell these new S series players at Future Shop and such, but they don't ship internationally. I'd drive across the border tomorrow if I could just for one of these since Sony seems to hate it's US customers these days. I've yet to find a player to replace my old A818.

OP, want to buy one and ship it to me?

haha.

You can get an inhanced driver's license - I think it is only like $35.00 - wish i had known about it before i spent $200 -(including expedited shipping) for a passport so that I could get into Canada last July. New DL renewal, and I am going for the inhanced one - I think all you need is your birth certificate.

^ I do not believe so. The volume restriction is only an EU thing AFAIK...

No, it seems to be a mystery device as far as info goes in Canada.
