Nay, while it does ad some nice character to the phone. I dont like the idea that if i were to set the phone on its face it rests in the center of the screen.

It is also a usability issue, the slight concave curve of the Nexus S allows the finger to touch more directly in both portrait and horizontal use. It especially feels nice when you type on it in horizontal mode- its a thoughtful angle like blackberry keys are angled to your thumbs. With the Venue Pro you have to reach across they convex screen with your thumb in portrait mode touching at a slight angle with your thumb. Its is certainly not a deal breaker though, i do notice and i do prefer the concave screen on the Nexus S.

No. Dell is using an LCD for this phone. Only Samsung OLED-based displays are currently using the PenTile array.

Same options as any phone; get it at a subsidized price and a contract, or pay full price and go month to month.

Dell is definitely using a PenTile display... One of the main features of the Venue Pro is the AMOLED display...

It is AMOLED 4.1". Not sure about the PenTile tech. It looks as good as the Nexus S's AMOLED.

I already like the Dell Venue Pro over the HD7 for the main reason that its just a better size- thicker mind you, but less width making it easier to hold.

What i am really loving about checking out and comparing different Windows Phones is that the software remains the same but the hardware is something that you match your tastes.

It is tight, but i think it works just as well as the on screen keyboard for me. What makes a slide out keyboard really useful on the Dell VP (or any WP7) is the fact that you can see the whole screen when you are typing. The on-screen keyboard doesn't take up half the screen.

This phone looks pretty nice, but I really like the look of the 7 Pro's keyboard.

I had an N900 and a Milestone (Motorola Droid for the US). the N900 is one of the worst keyboards i have come across on a mobile device. spoungy and a really odd keyboard layout. The Milestone was usable, but too flat and not enough click. The Dell Venue Pro beats both of these with ease. I havent used the Touch Pro 1 enough to comment, but considering its HTC and its larger than the VPs keyboard i would guess its a bit better on size alone.

This is hard to get a grip on. Ive only had it for a day and im not sure im going to come to a conclusion even after using it for a while. it really depends on what you are doing on it. Ill see what i can come up with.

You might get a biased answer from me on this, but im likely going to say that music and video playback on a Windows Phone devices is better than any Adroid phone. You do have some promising stuff on Android like PowerAMP (review) and WindAmp for Android is really nice, but i love the music experience of Zune on the Windows Phone.

Sound quality is good, but is not always crystal clean on my Shure SE530s- a little raggedy in the mids and the highs could be a little more crisp. Its about on par with the HD7, though the HD7 has better highs.
