Well i got my fuze and fm modulator today. Fuze sounds fine when hooked to the modulator (minus minor static)...But i cant hear the fuze when i hook up the car charger thats hardwired..It completly cancels out the music and gets a annoying static/buzzing noise. Good clean grounds..The charger is hardwired to the fuse box (w/ a "add a fuse") while the modulator is hooked up to the switched 12v behind the cd player with a seperate ground.
When i had my cheap $7 transmitter(which had 0 noise and sounded AWESOME) setup to my sansa m240 i had no problems suprisingly. I woulda thought it would sound better..I'm going to take the power off the h/u (for modulator) and hook it up to the same wire as the charger..If that doesnt work i'll try the ground aswell i spose. So why as soon as i hook up the charger would it be making noise and cancel the music to the point where you can barely hear it. The charger is also a cheap ebay version. p.s. The mod is the scoche fmmod02. Last edited by sbcaprice305; 12-25-2010 at 09:47 PM. |

You state: Just a thought based on your statement, have you tried a different charger? I use one of the cigarette lighter to USB rigs and have no problem with any of my players.

It's finally over...I got to researching it more thoroughly since i wasnt getting any help here(no offence) and found the solution. Used a "pac" sn-1 ground loop isolater i had left over from past audio installs.(never worked on them so i was skeptical) It had 2 rca in/outs..Went through my endless amount of adapters and wire and found a 2 female to 3.5mm extension..No noise whatsoever in my system now when i plug in the hardwired fuze charger..
So it went like this scoche fmmod02 to 1.5ft rca cable to "pac" sni-1 to rca/3.5mm adapter... Couldn't be happier. Last edited by sbcaprice305; 12-27-2010 at 01:13 AM. |
