music won't delete off of fuze

i'm trying to put some new music on my fuze, and when i disconnected it to listen to it, the songs and albums that i just put on were all in there but the music files would just not play and constantly skip to the next file. sometimes it would crash my fuze. so i tried taking the files off but every time i try to delete the files off the fuze from my computer it says that the files aren't in there, and every time i disconnect my fuze to check, the song and album titles are still there and they still crash my player whenever i try to play them

this is really frustrating because i just want to take the files off so that i can put non-corrupted versions on. does anyone know what to do about this?
