For a refurbished one, the price is high. I paid $225USD for mine (new) in Dec 2006. IMO, I'd go without a Creative Zen before I become a mindless Apple i-drone tied to their iTunes. I like the ability of being able to back up music on 4 computers with my 30gb zv:m without a bunch of issues.

Creative just dropped the price to $109.99 USD. I think they weren't selling, so they dropped the price...

Somebody went to the site and bought them all at once. Now they are selling them on eBay for a considerable profit.
They should limit the quantities to give other people a chance to buy them. Darnit |

Yea that is a great deal too!
I used to buy them just to take them apart and sell the components. Where else can you get a new genuine Creative battery for these things? A good business person could cash in that way. I am really surprised that Creative is still selling that model. Where do they get all the parts? If you buy one and it breaks in 31 days are you just out of luck? Read the sales receipt. 30 days for a old refurb product? |

All the players people have returned over time. They are one of the easiest self repair players. Since people still want them they sell them when they have refurbished enough to sell. It is still the best PMP they have ever made.

Thanks for the explanation.
As for the best player? Well despite my comments I have to agree. I have had mine for several years. My whole family each have one. And I guess that is why I come back here to talk about them. |

Knock on wood, my 30GB ZV:M has worked flawlessly since late '06. The only problems I've had were the typical issue with the file table getting corrupt. The problem is nothing a quick format from the recovery console couldn't fix.
The HD in mine is the Toshiba 30GB pins. I'll SSD it or upgrade it to a larger drive when it fails. Still has factory battery and still gets 5-6 hours per charge with it locked and display off.

I scored a 30 gig model last week at the $109 price.
I is to replace my zen v + 8 gig. So far I am really liking it. I want to fiddle with it and come up with a list of questions to find or ask yee all. That is all |

I'd buy straight away if they'd ship out of the US.
