No reason to get a D3 if you have a J3 and use it mostly for audio. The EQ settings are exactly the same.

Personally, I don't need internet or video on the move - too much access at work and home fries my brain enough as it is - so I won't be making a move to D3 anytime soon.

For those with crApple Touch allergy though, if Cowon can overcome the reported firmware issues (UI lag, regular bricking etc), it could be a highly viable alternative.

I'd get it if the capacity were 64gb internal, as it'd be 96gb with the microSD card slot that way.

As for the comparison between the touch & D3 - feel free, just keep it civil please.

It is bigger than my iPhone4, so why this product? I don't use my iPhone for music, but for everything else. For music I listen to my Fuze+RB because it is small and sounds great. The D3 seems to be missing a clear definition and purpose.

i'd wait till comes up a new D3's enhanced one like the S9 to J3, i think it's a beta version and the next version will be better at least IMO

i think they will come to grips with the D3 soon. it's because of android.
the last updates seem to indicate they've overcome a great deal of the bugs that made it such a sluggish experience (judging from videos and the review by globiboulga).
and i'm rather confident, after a few more updates it will be usable.

android+Cowon, it has potential.

Well that comparison is a little silly, my computer screen is bigger than my laptop screen i should sell my laptop.

The iPhone isn't a DAP so forget the iPhone, the Fuze is a budget/basic player like the Sony S series or the Cowon i9, the D3 is a premium player like the J3, Archos 43, iPod touch, etc.

The D3 offers everything the iPod touch offers, but more sound enhancements so it is clearly a high end player and has an easily defined section of the market that it appeals to.
