I'll try to make a preview as I did early September for the Q3/U6/G50 but I'm not sure I'll have time to do it tomorrow, maybe during the weekend.
Hopefully they are good devices. Indeed I already gave up the Galaxy Player 50 review as it was such a bad device. The motivation was not there....

So today was the Samsung open day.
It was mainly focused on mobiles phones and TVs, the divisions where Samsung France is N°1 but the new mp3 players (not sure we can still call them like that...) were also there: Galaxy S Wifi 4.0 and Galaxy S Wifi 5.0. I tried both devices, they look much more interesting than the Galaxy Player 50 but no real surprise either as they are Android-powered. It's a well known user experience now. Actually for me the most interesting thing was talking with the MP3 Product Manager (one of my good contacts at Samsung) all the afternoon. Was very interesting but unfortunately I can't share 90% of what she told me^^
I also tried the new Galaxy Tab 10.1 and the Galaxy S II.

I'll post more pictures (no videos as there is no autofocus and macro mode in video mode on my old camera) and tell you more in details what I think of these devices later (on Saturday probably), I'm lacking time now

hmm, knowing your contacts with samsung, I know you really can't tell me anything. but could you answer me this: is it worth buy a galaxy wifi 4, or should I wait for a "gen 2" ?

The 5" obviously had room for a larger battery. It sure looks like a (big) handful though. I wish Samsung had spent a little time updating the aesthetics some. Those both look like the iPod Touch of 3 years ago. Cowon tried to be original with the D3, and Creative at least made the back of the Touch-2 a little more interesting than a flat chrome fingerprint magnet.

Hi guys. Been lurking in this forum for a few months now and thanks to the discussions here, I get to see all the new stuff coming up.

Just bought a Samsung Galaxy WiFi 5.0 here in Hong Kong. I own a P3 and it's proven to be such a useful player. I use it extensively for interviewing and the quality is remarkable. So I wanted a player that could do the same plus a little bit more.

I'm still charging the device (8 hour initial charge) so I can't put up any photos. The only one available was 8gig so I'm looking to buy a 32gb microSD memory card to increase the memory. For your reference, I bought it for HK$2398. The 8gb 4.0 version is about HK$1998 I think.

I'm excited to use the 5.0 not just for videos but as an e-reading device. I couldn't be persuaded to buy an iPad or a Kindle so I think this is the next best thing to it. Will post something more comprehensive as soon as I start using it.
