Default Dust under the screen Zen X-fi

I have recently noticed there is some amount of dust right under the scree, parallel to the sd card slot, which i had kept empty for some time, because i lost the one I had.

Now since it is under guarantee period, i cannot afford to open it up.
I tried to blow in from the SD card slot, but that didn't work.

Any idea how this can be solved?

Hi,,

I also have the same probleme, which I just noticed after reading this topic/thread.

I've try to blow the dust away with a compressor blower ( if you know what I mean) Without any results! The dust is still there. Although I've always kept a SD-card in the player. for somehow reason the dust came under my screen.

I believe you can't get the dust away under the screen without opening the player. Because the dust is problably static loaded which will result that the dust stick on the screen (just like on your Television screen)

To make it less to notice I turned the brightness to maximum and try to ignore it

(Sorry for my bad english)

Well lowering the screen brightness is not an option I will ever go for LOL, when you can have the most, why settle for the least?

Also, we can't open the zen either, it will void the warranty.

i think I'll wait before someone comes up with an answer.

Same here.. Some dust has gathered just left of the button area and I have no idea how it got there. I'm not about to dismantle it yet within the warranty period, but if anyone has a video or somehing showing how to dismantle it I would be gratefull..

This should be a very common problem with all....cuz dust does get under screens in many players and other gadgets...

I still don't understand why there isn't much traffic on this thread.

Not even mods.

Anyway, patience is the key mate

Default Maybe this will help?

I just did it with this instruction within 5 sec. and no marks seen.
The front is clipped on as you can see here:
http://anythingbutipod.com/2008/07/c...-disassembled/
Just use a sharp thing to lift the first thing up and the rest is to the credit card, no marks left. and you can clean it right away and after your done you can click it right back up. No marks also.

Tada! Hope it helped for you guys I can finaly see my screen within sunlight!

G'night to ya all!
