Apologies if this has been covered in another thread, I had a look but didn't see anything.
I've had my ZVM for a few years & its been great, but recently after recharging it died - I was unable to turn it on, reset it, get the blue on light to go on or anything. The only difference is when its plugged into the computer to charge, then the blue on light flashes on and off but the screen is still blank & there is no sign that its charging & no way to get it to play or do anything. Anyone have any ideas as to what the problem is & how I can fix it? |

Do yo have a wall charger? I have bought so many "broken" zens from ebay just to find out that the usb on their PC just didnt have the amperage to wake up the player.
When I plug them into the wall charger, they come to life immediately and work fine after. Sometimes disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it does the job too. Please be careful when pulling the battery connector off theboard. They tend to break off and then you are really screwed. |

Thanks, I've now tried it with a wall charger but with no success. I'll try disconnecting & reconnecting the battery next.

Allan,
Well sorry if that didnt help. It sure has saved a lot of players for me. I hope unplugging the battery works. Cause if not, your board is dead. Again, be careful with that connector on the board. They break off sooooo easy. If you need a new board, there is a guy on ebay who has sold me a couple. His id is something like "allmonitors or all-monitors". Good luck, G |
