Background
I am having dificulties in getting a background to work.Ive converted an image to bmp format ,placed the file in photos.When I go to I open up the context menu and press set as background but nothing happens
 .Can any one help me please.Many thanks.

AFAIK the image needs to reside in .rockbox/backdrops. Also make sure it has the right size (220x176 pixels).

I did that mate as well .I converted the image from a jpg to bmp with format factory.Is it possible that there are different types of bmp?
P.S What does AFAIK mean?LOL. Thanks for the quick reply.

There are different types, but usually only compressed bmps are problematic. Look for an option called RLE or Run Length Encoding and turn it off. If you still encounter problems, you can upload the file to an image hosting service like tinypic or imageshack and we can have a look.
