Default 3rd party video converter?

Anyone know what format the video needs to be in to work on the Plus? And a suitable 3rd party tool to do the conversion?

I've tried a few tools but none have presets for the Zen V Plus. I really don't want to install all of the Creative bloatware just to convert videos.

But, Creative Media Explorer will convert videos. Surely, you've installed it, right?

Try reading the manual.

Alright, guys, be nice!

I've seen the manual for the ZVP - it's not all that helpful.

By what I understand, the ZVP only recognizes uncompressed AVI files. I don't know of any video converters that convert to that myself, but I know they exist. There were a few threads here recently mentioning a few.

Thanks for your post.

I've still not been able to find anything that can create the uncompressed DIB format that seems to be required.

I really don't want to install 40Mb of software on each on my PC's and laptops just to convert videos. Its annoying that you can't install or uninstall individual components.

I'll keep looking.
