I've had two P3's in two years and both developed dead screen areas during that time. Replaced the first one under warranty with the second that developed the exact same problems, despite never being mishandled or mistreated in any way.
Extremely frustrating and I'll never risk it again. After plenty of research, Cowon J3 seems to be the best overall replacement.
Shame, as the P3 was very good while it worked. Shame on you Samsung! This problem is ubiquitous and you should've recalled/replaced these problem P3 units regardless of warranty period.
