Default 96.00 mhz Always detected?

I keep picking up this frequency when I use the autoscan for both rockboxed and standard firmware.

What's peculiar is it has done this for two of my fuzes so far. the frequency doesn't play any white noise rather, it plays some feedback noises from the devices I think.

I'm curious whether this is all fuzes, or my location.

The fuze uses a main crystal of 24 MHz to generate most other frequencies (e.g. clock for the CPU). I think a harmonic of this frequency at 96 MHz (= 4 x 24 MHz) is picked up by the radio chip.

Since this is a fixed frequency without modulation (AM or FM), it appears as a mostly silent radio station.

Woah. That's neat to know. I guess you couldn't shield it out in any way through its design.

Off topic, but when you mentioned silent radio station, you've just reminded me about number stations
