flash memory problem?

the other day i turned on my fuze and it got stuck refreshing database all the way until the battery died. i already a new player,but the thing is doesn't have nearly as good of bookmarking support for podcasts. well today out of curiousity i plugged it in and performed a format on windows and low and behold it's working again. can i expect this to last or is it just a matter of time before it breaks again?

The problem isn't the player, it is the tags on you music files. Use a tag editor such as mp3Tag and fix the tags.
