Well, I said 240*320 because in the user manual they say "Video: 3 hours (Default Set, QVGA 320x240, Brightness 3, Volume level 15, Normal sound mode)" > Usually they benchmark battery life with the native resolution

sammyhub.com claims 128*160. Unfortunately they don't precise where they got this info.

240*320 is a bit much for a 1.8" screen. It's more a 2"-2.4" resolution.
128*160 is the standard resolution for old 1.8" screens such as Cowon X5's so wouldn't surprise me on such a player.

I could request it to Samsung but most probably they won't change that as it's not a bug but an intended limitation

i think it's an european law... i tried to download the korean firmware but nothing changes (even after upgrade the version says 1.20 EU). BTW i've had a T10 and there were no limits for the voice recorder.

Hey the T10 time is over Now there is a unique worldwide firmware. Only the region code changes with the config.dat trick and of course that doesn't change any features like the voice recording.

BTW i've had a T10 and there were no limits for the voice recorder.

I checked the Q3 manual. It says 8hrs max. For the U6 it's 4hrs.
So indeed 2hrs is not much. I assume it's a technical limitation (the Z3 has very poor hardware). I'll ask Samsung for you but as I said it, most probably they won't change that

yes, i'm quite sure they will not

They cannot improve that due to the very poor battery capacity (250mAh) and due to the main chipset operating at higher voltage than the other Samsung DAPs.

For the same reasons, the battery life is very bad with high bitrate and VBR files.
