Where to get refurbished Fuzes?

If Amazon.uk ships to your location I'd check there first. I saw some decent prices new and used on the first gen Fuze there last time I helped someone track one down. We also saw quite a few on eBay. Some of the refurb dealers had decent shipping and return policies. If you deal with an eBay dealer I'd stay away from any that don't have a 30 day return policy and great feedback.

Had a look on Amazon, nothing caught my eye.

Most of the US sellers don't ship to IReland. Can't find any refurbished Reds either. That was the one I had before.

I bought one from amazon.co.uk from izone-deals - I'm pretty sure it's refurbished (plain boxed - and a faint 'R' printed on the device). It works fine for me.

DCY: Do Tiger Direct ship internationally? Most of those kind stores charge a lot if they do. No red ones there either :/

You can't really count on the description.

A friend bought one, which was a V1. Then a while after that I bought two at an inverval of around 3 months: both were V2s.

Rockbox batterybench gave me 20h on the first one, 18h on the second (Lame V2).

Are the red ones actually really rare? Am I best off not bothering with them?

The colors are around, but they seem to be less common than the black. Rarity may also be a matter of where you're at and where you're looking. I see them available on Amazon here in the US. I also see them on Amazon.uk but there's a fair jump in price to get the red rather than the black. Just a guess but there probably were fewer red than black made.

I'm one of those heathens that's never really cared much about the color of a DAP. I wouldn't pay an extra nickel to get one color over the other as long as what's coming out the headphone jack sounds the same. That makes me not the best gauge of if you should keep looking for a red one or not. I'd say let your wallet and sensibilities make that decision.

To be honest one consideration I have is that I've had black players before and they simply tend to get lost a lot easier. I have a lot of black equipment and clothes whereas something bright red obviously stands out a lot more. I would be far less likely to lose it and more likely to find it when I do.

Well, way back when I had my Sansa e260, I liked the DLO Action Jacket because it was handy with the clip, and the neoprene makes a good shock absorber. Though, it's far from colorful. If you want color, here's a pink silicon case. There are also a lot of clear cases on the interwebz.

That means more time spent refreshing the database though, haha. Still not near enough to hold my collection.

Found a good deal on the 8 gig black, cost me 45 euros or so. It was in Ireland too, so it might even by here by Friday

Got a red crystal case too, to make it look snazzier.
