The review was interesting but some of the problems were... weird?
The media scanning thing pops to mind. He seemed surprised it didn't take very long the time of the review. I don't think he realized that the media scanning is only cursory (and very quick) after the initial long one unless significant amounts of data has been changed. This is a change from the pre-Gingerbread full-scan every time method (which could take 15+ minutes for a fully loaded 32GB D3 w/ 32GB microSD card).
The other one was the pictures issue. Pre-Gingerbread having pictures was impractical due to thumbnail scanning locking out the media functionality, but since updating I, personally, have never experienced any issues with the picture viewer.
