Songs missing from Album

Hi all. I just purchased this mp3 device and overall I'm very happy with it.

I've noticed that for several artists, some albums have some songs missing.

I have tried to re-transfer all the files over to the device and inspected the id3 tags but these actions haven't made the songs show.

I don't want to (can't) use any of their software to transfer songs.

Any help if much appreciated.

I was able to fix this by using an mp3 tagging program to convert all the tags to id3 v2.3 (I read somewhere that 2.4 wasn't supported).

That's not exact, 2.4 tags are actually supported (at least on my own device).
However, cover arts embedded in 2.4 tags are not. I guess it's a firmware bug Cowon has no intention to fix...
