Imports: Warranty / insurance question

I'm starting to give up waiting for the 4.0 to officially hit the UK so am now entertaining the idea of buying it form one of these smaller online retailers..

Can anyone who has ordered one from Pixmania / Simply Electronics etc, tell me what the deal is with warranty and/or insurance if the device breaks? Where to send it back to / cost etc

Those places have their own warranties. If it breaks, you have to send it back to them. The warranty is already in their name. They're basically the official customer, and they resell em.

Because it's not even sold by Amazon. It's not even a UK release, just like the ones from the retailers above aren't, either. They are all imports, hence my question.

Can you order from Circuit City? They're the new ones with 2.3.5 out of the box. 5.0 is still on pre-order. But the 4.0 is now available.

I'm after a UK release, mainly because of the "what if it gets damged" issue. I can order from Pixmania (French import) or Simply Electronics (Hong Kong import), but I want the UK version, and I don't know if it'll ever be released.

The 3.6" is on Amazon with a 1-3 month lead-time.
