Is cowon iaudio9 good enough for sound quality

Hello everyone.
My one and only consideration is excellent sound quality,i'll not use mp3 player for watching videos.I have samsung galaxy s2 which is brilliant in every department except sound quality and i really miss the sound which i listened on sgs2 previous version galaxy s which has a wolfson chip.
I bought sony walkman NWZ -A845 few day ago and really dissappointed with its sound quality with or without sound effects.So i want to buy a new mp3 player which should be excellent in sounfld quality,i cannot go over this budget.Is it worth buying iaudio9 if sound quality is my only consideration?? Also can you suggest me which headphone should i use with it.

The i9 sounds linear, no worries about sound quality. You can use any phone between 16 and 150 Ohm with it, give or take a few.

I like the i9 too but have to mention that it's limited on size maxing out at 16gb. It's very hard to tell the difference in sq between top tier players so the right headphones for one makes a big difference. Also looking for the right features (eq, gapless, expansion, etc...) are important. Not too many small portable DAPs that have expansion, for example Sansa Clip, Fuze, J3, etc... just to mention a few but still the phones make the biggest difference.
