Default Galaxy 5 Player Rooted!

This huge - over on XDA there are instructions for rooting your player. I can confirm that this works - just rooted mine. Here's the thread

Is rooting like jailbreaking? Why would you want to root for?

To make true back ups of all your data (Titanium Backup), to adjust performance for user benefit and battery life and to custom ROM for the true Android experience.

And much much more, you can do more with a rooted android device then with a jailbreaked iphone. Even though an iphone is jailbreaked the user still has no access to the hardware (CPU,video chip, etc, etc).
