Hello everyone, new to th¡s forum.
I found the wall charger for my old Motorola Razr and noticed it has a mini USB plug (unlike newer chargers which use micro USB). So I was wondering if it was possible to use it as a charger for my E-354 Walkman without causing any damage to it. I really prefer not to turn on my computer just to recharge any device. Thanks for any help. David C. |

The usb 2.0 spec is 5 volt, 500 to 900 mA. As long as the charger is in in there it should be fine. It should say on the charger what its output is. I'm using a phone charger for my e355, works fine.

Why didn't I think of checking those specks?
Well, anyway the Motorola wall charger is indeed 5.0V 550 mA. Thanks for replying. Here goes nothing... (will update if anything goes as it shouldn't) David C. |

UPDATE: Yes, it did charge properly, it just took a longer than using the USB port on my laptop. One more thing, you need to turn off the device after you plug in to the outlet or the screen will remain on during the whole charging process. Also, you can not use the device or it will stop charging.
UPDATE2: I've also used an iPad charger brick with the Sony USB cable, and it did charge quicker. |

I used to use a Motorola Tracfone wall charger with my E344. Useful for when I needed to listen to something, but had to charge it up too.

Hi Dave and all
I quickly discovered that my walkman could be charged via an electric phone charger. I prefer it because of another problem which I'll post as a different thread. Vanessa |
