I think we should have 'Rockbox' added to the English Dictionary. It's not just an add-on, it's a lifestyle :-)

Hi , my fuzes and clip+ were rockboxed and i enjoy it much, specially gapless
and no crappy data base refresh
Since i got my zip i follow the rockbox development of the zip port but i dont see
real "news" lately .
As i'm a bit afraid of installing manually "today's" build ,i make my bizarre
question :
Would be a rockbox zip port for the installer soon?
*soon=crhitsmast comes before for my zip

As i said i follow development at rockbox.org and seems that,
after the blue-red color swap fix , no "big step" is posted.
As the player only appears on the installer coosing "advanced" and i
never had put the bootloader, .rockbox fold ,etc manualy, i'm a bit
afraid of converting my zip on a clip zombie.
i wanted to know an aprox period of time (x weeks, x months) , to avoid
getting so anxious that i decide to rockbox my zip with a
weird result (i only rockboxed my fuze and clip+ with the idiot proof installer)

Rockbox devs don't give timelines (even approximate ones), so unfortunately your anxiety must persist.

since rockbox 3.9.1 (i'll post a howto mini-guide soon, as rockbox does it better than iriver and cowon do)

Wow didn't know it had came this far already. I loved using it on my clip+ and am happy to be able to abandon the OF. I noticed that my microSD card that did not work in the OF oddly works fine in rockbox(as it did on the clip+). I am no longer limited to my 8GB card any more. As soon as I can figure out the name of the theme I used on clip+ I'll have to try my hand at porting it over(with the authors consent of course).

I've been loading the current build every few days, and for the most part it has worked quite well for me. It's been a couple of weeks since I used the OF, asides from swapping of content.

I signed up just to thank all the RB devs for their work. Thank you, RB devs!

I bought a Clip Zip a few days ago as my first portable player, and the original software shouldn't have been shipped. I was about to ship it back. RB is waaay better. I'm listening to Jefferson Airplane through a tube amp with it (sounds good, too), so I ain't young. :^)

Is it possible to edit the theme once it's online or do you need to post a new theme for every new version?

I wait for the answer before uploading mine, I don't want to upload a new theme everytime I fix a minor thing...

If you give it the same title (and use the same email address, I suppose), the old one is overwritten when you upload a new one.
