Creative Zen X-Fi Will not charge or sync

Hi
Recently my creative zen x-fi has not been connecting to my computer, or showing any signs of power going into it from usb ports on multiple computers that i have tried.
I know the cable is not the issue as it works on other devices i have that use the same fitting

I hope that i do not have to re-solder the usb port or anything, does anyone know how i can get the data off the player without the usb port? as all my music is stored on this and not the pc

try to reset it
