Should i return my 4.0

Well as you can see the title i want to return the device to best buy.

I put alot of though into this and i have a couple of reasons why i want to return it.

1.)Contstantly turning off for no reason.
2.)Battery is horrible.
3.)Not enough apps or games in android market for me.
4.)The plastic battery cover sqeaks when holding it or powering it on.
5.)Android is just messy. Makes lots of folders and keeps useless apps running.
6.)No custom roms for it, (I IKnow if i wait i will get one but maybe nahh)
7.)Quality of the plastic on device. Feels Really cheap.

So thats it i might get a White iPod Touch just in case your wondering.

What should i do.

It's all about what's best for you. I got the SGP 5.0 because of the lager screen & supposedly long battery life. I like it so far, but it's not perfect. The web browser really sux, the music playback is only good with a third party app, and it is sloooooowwwwww compared to the iPhone 4 and iPod touch 64gb I used to own. plus, I agree about the lack of real available games & apps. Custom ROM's,....not so important to me.

If there was a 5" screened iPod touch I would NEVER have bought this myself,.... Still, for what I paid & what it does I'm good. But gimme a larger screened touch and I'm GONE as well.

I also got it because a bigger screen, but why need a bigger if its right in front of your eyes. Im the type of person who cannot live without customization i change my launcher every day. So custom roms are important for me. Plus i love dreamboard on iOS

I need a bigger screen since I'm getting older and my eyes aren't getting any better. And TBH, I'd be dealing with a huge screened WP7 phone instead if the browser was better. This toy is just to hold me over, till my kids get gifted with it.

Yup, much worse IMO. With all the devices I own/ed I expect better. The iPod touch's browser kills it, same as my iPad 2, Motorola atrix 4G, and all the others I've owned (Samsung Galaxy Tab, Dell Streak 7, and even Archos players before android). The browser is THAT BAD!!!

That's more than double the current capacity of the SGP 4.0's included battery. Is this compatible with the SGP 4.0, though?

ITT: If you feel that this device doesn't live up to your expectations, you should return it.

The only thing that seems to be bothering me about the the SGP is the minor hissing noise. (CNET also noted that they also heard the hissing noise when the device is in use.) I like this device because of the many customization options, the really nice screen, and a number of things.

Larger screen aside, I think for both Zyxxeil and The DarkSide Android in general just isn't a good fit.

For Zyxxeil, it seems like you might have a defective product but really, what you want is an iPod and the ecosystem that goes along with it. For The DarkSide, the whole Android experience is defined by choice, so if the browser is too slow or the music player isn't to your liking then you change it (as you've done.) It is very much akin to owning a PC back in the day when the bundled software was so awful that you pretty much had no choice but to find a 3rd party solution.

If you view this category of device as a simple consumer electronic item as opposed to a mini-computer that begs to be tinkered with, Apple is a better way to IMHO.

some places say that battery is a pile of ****, have you actually tried it out yourself?
some say they are just the standard oem battery with a gold sticker wrapped around them.

I read some of the reviews regarding the batteries the seller sells, and apparently they happen to be standard capacity batteries in gold wrapping.

First, we shouldn't need to do a custom ROM. Second, I like stock with some app enhancement. Third, I really am not interested in rooting the SGP 5.0. My ATRIX 4G is rooted, good enough.

I chose this because I like android, but not every device is as good as the next. Even if the hardware is the same as the SGS II it doesn't mean the browser is the same. Even Motorola has differences in it's software on different devices. Small, considering they all use MotoBlur, but there.

I believe they were referring to the sound codec. The hardware in the SGP is closer to the original Samsung Galaxy S.

The stock SGP browser or all browsers in general on your SGP. I don't think you'll find anyone who would argue that the stock Gingerbread browser is serviceable at best.

The SGP 5.0 is the same as the SGS II , and the SGP 4.0 is the same as the SGS.

I had an iPod, so getting childish and defensive isn't really gonna help. It has it's good and bad points, learn to deal with it. Especially since you've started to sound like a fanboi - not kool bro.
