I've got somewhere around 120GB of lossy tunes.....but some of them are ones I never listen to but just can't bring myself to delete....lol. I could probably fit everything from my collection that I would listen to on an 80 GB player though. I wouldn't be doing "shuffle all" on that device though.....too many different types of music for that.

So $150 can get me a 64GB MicroSDXC card or 160GB in the form of 5 32GB MicroSD cards,I'd choose the latter lol Those things can literally be carried in the smallest zip lock bag.

Yes its safe, just as long as the gold parts don't get chipped or scratched, otherwise its safe. If no keys or sharp objects are inside the same pocket then the MicroSD card will be fine. But a tiny zip lock bag seems like the best solution to make carrying them easy.

I'm going to end up carrying two players....lol. A loaded Clip Zip with 32GB card, just music, and the SGP with a crapload of movies, some concerts, and a little music on it.

Thats pretty much what I do. I carry around both my iPod and SGP, I LOVE the EQ settings and music players I have on the SGP so its hard to juggle using only one 32GB microSD card inside it for both music and videos lol

I wouldn't carry a micro sd card in my pocket,...it would get lost too easily. Either do as Lagoo56 suggested, or get a little case designed to carry them:

You could split the difference and get Class 6 *smile*.

Seriously though, if you are going to be using your SGP as some sort of giant flash drive, copying over hundreds of MB via USB at a time, then the you'll see some benefit from the faster card. If this is just for music and video playback on the SGP, a Class 4 card will be fine.

A few years ago some of the Palm and other sd cards came in a slim plastic case that is great for holding many micro sd cards today. I have several, Logo on them is mdm, and may still be able to find them on ebay.

Here's a cute little case that holds 6 sd, and 12 or more micro sd.

i have read that if you put lots of gb (of music and movies and pictures) on a player at once it will brick the player.
so if i put a lot of gb on the sd card and put it in the player, will it brick it?

No. I put a full 32GB card into my 5.0 and it worked just fine.

No, I put a 32gb card in the SGP 5.0,and the card was full of music, and it didn't brick it.

And I put TONS of music on my players all at one time and they don't brick - so what you read isn't true, most of the time. On occasion a player will have this type of issue, but most don't. It only occurs when there is an issue with the device,... The SGP 5.0 has no such issue. You would have seen a thread about it already.

BTW: I just HAVE to ask this. 2kitties, how old are you? I think we ALL might like to know,...
