Clip+ crashes w/ certain Ogg files

So with the recent release of Rockbox 3.10, I finally decided to upgrade my firmware. So I downloaded and installed it over the version I was using earlier [ http://anythingbutipod.com/forum/showpost.php?p=554712&postcount=1336 ], but I ran into an problem. When I try to play certain .ogg files, Rockbox immediately crashes. Other times, it freezes. And other times, it freezes, and then crashes. Naturally, this didn't happen with the old version.

The display on the screen when it immediately crashes reads:
Data abort
at 30813EB4
FSR 0x8
(domain 0, fault 8)
address 0xA5294A5A

And then I have to hold the power button for ~15 seconds to get it working again.
The strange thing is, other .ogg files play perfectly fine.
The non-working files are 192 VBR kbps.
If you would like me to attach one of the non-working files, I'll do so.

I have no idea if this information is any use, but I'm not using the database to play these files. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That patch has been committed. You would need to update to a current build in order for it to work for you unless you want to wait for the next release.

BTW, USB support has been enabled and is working very nicely for me. You should also get that if you update to a current build.

Update to the current build. If it still happens, file a bug report with a link to one of the files.

As for the USB support, it seems to work fairly consistently. That's nice.

I'm also having the same problem occur with playing ogg vorbis files. I never applied a patch before and would appreciate it if someone could quickly offer instructions. I assume you would need to install rockbox manually to apply a patch.

To apply a patch you have to download the Rockbox source code, patch it and then compile it. However, you do not need to do this since the patch has already been committed. The patch was committed in r31393 which is not included in 3.10, so you will have to download a current build.
