i got this new player everything looked good and then the big shock. Seems to be EU Volume Limited

Does anyone have the test mode code for this series or instructions how to fix this?

user

Edit: ... for NWZ-E45x there is a Destionation Setting Tool available! But where to get it.(if anyone knows some service guys or so?) In the Test Mode mine Says "Dest: J [SPS ON]" (=Volume Limit)

whoever wants to help is welcome:

Quote:
1. Goto Main Menu
2. Activate Hold
3. Press those keys:
[>] -> [<] -> [VOL +] -> [VOL –] -> [>] -> [<] -> [OPTION] -> [BACK] -> [OPTION] -> [BACK]

Note: The destination setting and sound pressure regulation setting cannot
be executed by this test mode.
Quote:
4-5-5. Destination setting (DEST)
The destination setting, language information, and sound pressure
regulation information are written in the NAND fl ash memory.
Quote:
1-2. Preparation
Note 1: Please use this Tool in Windows XP or later.
Note 2: Please install Windows Media Player 11 or later to make the unit
recognize as MTP.
Note 3: Confi rm the method of obtaining the destination setting tool to the
service headquarters.

hey chrico, no need to double post...

Did you actually try the steps detailed in this thread?
http://www.anythingbutipod.com/forum...ad.php?t=60370

FWIW, I would not say that this method works 100% - and I don't have a new gen SonyE so I cannot even test. Still, reading the results from various folks, it seems like a hit-or-miss type situation, so...

Caveat emptor!

Do post your own results if you decide to give it a whirl - this will help others...

Default I think I managed to sort it out!

I went to test mode, chose (4-5-5. Destination setting (DEST)) and there using OPTION button I have changed J to KR (long shot, I thought it might be Korea ). Then BACK and picked last option (RESTART or something similar). Try it yourself.
