For some reason in some games (such as Batballwall, and GGN), right in the middle of gameplay the player shuts down, and has to scan the disc and all that. Is it a problem with my player or the game and how can I stop it.

Hm, it could be the games causing it. Has it always been like that or have it started recently? I'd be surprised if the games did it frequently though since it has to be quite a radical bug for the player to have to do a scan afterwards. What firmware are you running? Have you tried a clean-up?

I have experienced this problem with my old zen x-fi2. I asked creative about it and they said to send it in for repairs. However, I just bought a used one and it worked fine.

It happens pretty much every time I run a certain game(It doesn't shutdown right away). Yes I tried doing the clean-up and turning off idle shutdown. I am pretty sure I have the newest firmware.

As for Batballwall maybe try to turn game sound off. If it helps it's a game thing. I don't now what game GGN means.

it still does it even with the sound of.
Would it affect it if I had music going in the background? |

Hm, if I recall correctly we have had some crashes which seemed dependent on music playing in the background. Have you tried without music?

I have had this EXACT same problem with my other zen x-fi2. Nothing will fix it, if it is the same problem (I have tried formatting it, resetting it, clean-ups etc). Send it to Creative for them to fix it (they said it was a hardware issue).
