I found this on amazon: a usb gender changer. Apparently some people have used this for android devices to hook up a standard optical mouse. Anyone do this successfully with the SGP5?

Wouldn't you have to take hormones and go to Sweden for an operation like this?
kidding You'd have to have a driver for the mouse and the ability for android to read the usb device. I've never heard of this. Looks like the cord is primarily to get a card-reader attached. |

Perhaps a rooted device thing... I'm going to research it a bit.

Using USB mice / keyboards would require the device to have USB HOST support. Currently this is not enabled in the Galaxy Player hardware, rooted or not.
I would skip purchasing those cables until someone recompiles the kernel to activate USB Host support. |

what about a bluetooth mouse? I know there are BT keyboards that work with the player, and you don't have to deal with awkward cables or adapters.
