I'm falling in love with my 5.0 version even more

I just managed to get the ebook version of my course textbook on my 5.0 version,that means it just replaced an entire textbook I use Adobe Reader to read the PDF file and it works great,the text is easily readable for me and the images are easy to see.

You guys are WEIRD!!! And,...slow to learn.

I personally don't carry books anymore,...too damn heavy. IMO these devices will save kids backs, and your a prime example Lagoo56. I use my iPad instead though,...better reading experience for my crappy eyes.

Well call me old fashioned but here I am reading a photocopied textbook. Some 500 pages of loose sheets of paper. Nothing like an inch of a4's to wade through with only a few days to do it.

I don't know, I just have a better time comprehending what I'm reading when it's on paper... This is a pretty wonderful little device!

Well, I'm reading around 500 pages of the Atkin's diet,...that book is friggin' HUGE!!! ANNNNDDDDD BORING!!! Damn, losing weight sux, but I'm now doing it in epub format so screw paper books!!!

I find that true. I find it harder to concentrate on a screen, especially if the device I'm reading on has Internet access.

Same for me in some cases. Especially since I have a class where its REQUIRED to do homework online lol I failed this class last semester because I was too distracted while using my laptop lol

But for the textbook thing,its better to have it on the SGP because I don't like using Wifi on the device too much anyways,so there are no distractions while using it.

I even managed to read on my iPod Touch, but it involved a lot of page-turning....lol. And while I am sure the SGP works perfectly well for reading, I have a Nook Simple Touch for that....so the only reading I'll do on my SGP is the internetz.

If you use Cool Reader, your SGP will even read the book to you - including pdfs.

This 5.0 is a pretty kick-ass video player, I must say. I comfortably watched an entire movie on it last night in bed, and I don't think I ever made it more than 45 minutes on my Touch's little screen, even as sharp and clear as that is. So far, no need to convert any videos either.

No, I have a case on it that has a kickstand....so for about 2/3 of the movie I had it next to me on the bed. But it was in my hands for some of the time, and balanced on my chest on the lid of the case part of the time too.

You may want to check into a Coylcushion. the #2 one would probably work with it, I believe she made this size for a gps. I have one for my HP Touchpad, Nook, and Kindle. Love them. She has several sizes. I have the #3 and #4. The #3 would work for the Galaxy, Kindle, Fire, and most items, a bit large for a phone. I prefer the #4 for the HP Tablet. Mine was delivered at 9:00am this morning and is charging now so haven't played with it yet.

Funny thing is, i ordered it from B&H Photo because neither player was available in Canada yet and sure enough on the day of receiving it - Bingo now for sale in Canada lol!

However, the list price of the 5.0 is $349.00 + taxes (7%-12% depending on the province) so even with the fees ( customs, 12% H.S.T., Purolator, etc ), i still saved about 90 bucks

From what I am seeing, it takes a long time to fully charge, with that big-ass battery. I was at about 75% last night when I started to play around, so what I did was use a USB extender cable and leave the player plugged into the wall while I used it and watched a movie afterwards.

That's what I do. I have about a ten foot radius with the extension and a ridiculously long microUSB cable that I had from a prior camcorder.

hmm could you please share the link as i'm about to order accesories for my player, i was thinking of getting the pdair pouch but it hasn't got a kickstand.
