Here are some good mesh styles. I think it would be pretty sweet to do, I could give you some tips on how to make the mesh so it will go in and hold its place.

Thanks for the info!!! I also found that if you allow the drivers to have half an inch venting on the side, it has the same effect.

IMO, I think the drivers in these sound much better opened.

I'd love to see pics of these made open back, and a description of how it was done....mine have been collecting dust hanging on the wall for the most part.
