finally got an x5l

hey all, i finally got myself an x5l. kindof a cult item in my head.

its in very good condition, few scratches on the back but nothing major, and it has no charger, ie i dont know if it works. but i have recourse if it doesnt power on, so im confident it will.

i realise this thing can play flacs, im on the fence on that one.
i have an ipod for the last 6 years or so, blasphemy?.. whatever, its the don in my head. what really trumps other players for me, is the alarm fuction, i plug it into my hifi and wake up to random tracks from my collection every morning. i love that.

does rockbox have this function?

i guess i came on here to see whats the latest and greatest mods for the x5/x5l. ive read i can fit a 240gb drive in there, might be good if i went the flac route, however im not made of money so probably im thinking somewhere in the region of 64gb would be enough to house my 58gb collection of 320kbps'.

solid state would be nice... probably improve battery life too?

anyways im interested to hear any info you could give me,

the alarm clock plug-in http://download.rockbox.org/daily/ma...5-26400012.4.1 and IIRC there's other alarm features, check the manual.
