Yp g70 speakers and music

hi guys i was wondring if it possible to play music thorugh the 5.1 chanel that is used by the stock video player. i know you might say to convert the files to video and than play it. but i was wondring if its possible to Play an MP3 song thorough the speakers and use the 5.1 chanel souround sound

I don't believe that you can get 5.1 channels out of the headphone port, as that only has two channels. I think it's for things like Allshare, but correct me if I'm wrong.

what i am saying is when you play music using the speakers is there a way to play it throught the 5.1 cheanel like the video files when you are using the stock video player
for example can i play a mp3 song through the speakers using the 5.1 chanel without having to convert it to a video file.

Sorry, must have misread. There might be an app on the market, but I don't think you can with the stock player. It also depends on the file you have, as most of them only have 2 channels.
