organizing the apps drawer

I tried the search function and found no entry for this; is there a way (other than switching to list view) to alphabetize the apps drawer on the SGP 5.0?

But it's much better to just switch to a less crappy launcher, like GO or ADW.

I'd echo that. Try Go Launcher.
There are "themes" galore...personally I think the themes are over-done and fairly useless for the most part. there are so many "little japanese hello kitty girl" stuff that's it's just silly. They give you a wallpaper and a bunch of different-looking graphic icons for apps. "hey, there's the toaster with the buffalo and the rising sun...that must be my Camera app icon..."

But the launcher itself gives you a lot of options ...most importantly, the ability to specify how many grid/icons wide and high for the typical home screen layout, unlimited number of home screens, unlimited number of "drawers" in the app drawer, eliminating the stock apps and doing whatever you want in the app drawers. Pretty cool. Should be a stock part of Android if you ask me.

Yeah, my son uses Go Launcher on his Samsung smartphone, and he likes it, so I think I"ll give it a whirl--minus the Hello Kitty themes.

Yeah- check it out. There are a lot of options for how transitions occur when shifting between home screens and so forth. You can turn off the labels for app icons...that makes the screens appear less cluttered...especially when you go to a 4 wide by 5 high grid.

I find the theme wallpapers to be not-so-special in general. Just load a cool photo that you have or something from Google images for your home screen. I tend to change mine out maybe once a month.

I'm a LauncherPro guy myself, but they're probably all better than TouchWiz...
