Default Can high-bitrate .aac files be played on SGP 4.0?

Hi all. First post on this forum!

So I'm in for a new music player / pda / do-it-all droidian device to replace a stolen itouch.

I'm torn between the SGP 4.0 and the SGP 4.2.

Since I have a big collection of itunes-encoded .aac files, I need to know whether they can be played on these devices straight on.

The specifications sheets for the galaxy players 4.0, 5.0 and 4.2 that Samsung provides suggest that they play only up to 128kbps .aac files.

However I have already got a confirmation from a new galaxy 4.2 owner that he could listen to its itunes-encoded 256kbps .aac files with no problems whatsoever.

Has anyone here checked if the 4.0 can play high-bitrate .aac files?
