Let's make list of AA USB and emergency chargers for Player 5.0

Anyone know what is the best AA USB charger for Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0 ?
I need one for my trip to the jungle
From my testing.


Not working chargers
Soshine USB charger is not charging (DX) model SC-S9
Tekkeon M1580 is not charging.








Working chargers
Emergency charger ( $2.99 on Ebay ) using 2 AA.( not everyone)

It chews up AA batteries, but has NOT destroyed my SGP4 ( YMMV ). It certainly charges the SGP4 OK, but once the AA batteries die, it seems to discharge both the AA's and the SGP4, so I don't think it's really useful for charging - only prolonging activity - I would not leave it unattended.

This unit is the only one working what I know for now.
From 2 AA is charging 20-25% of the battery.

Did you use it with SGP 5.0 ?
It is charging SGP ?
We have a lot of chargers on the market but the problem is not everyone is charging. In theory everything providing 5V 500 mA DC should charge the player. But this is a theory only Most of the cgargers are not charging.
That why I want you dear friends to make list of chargers working with SGP 5.0

This Monaco solar charger works with the galaxy players! But it does not take batteries so...idk.

Solar is OK
As long as you can charge SGP from mobile chargers that great.
This reminded me I have two solar chargers home !!
One 1800mAh and other one 2400 mAh. W'll try them tomorrow.
And I thing I find why Tekkeon MP1500 is not working with SGP.

Be aware as you are testing these that all miniB USB cables do not have exactly the same pin out. Some cables that fit physically will not charge the SGPs even when connected to a power source that will. I would try to use a cable that you know will charge your SGP if possible before trying the cable that came with the external battery rig. Of course some of these rigs don't use a standard USB on the battery end and then you just have to hope the use the right pin-out. There was a discussion of the cable issue here:

Which batteries are you using in the Tekkeon mp1580? Did you try the Sanyo 2700 mah nimh ones? The Tekkeon 1550 and 1580 don't work that well with alkalines or lithium AA batteries.

If you want to Tekkeon MP1580 to charge you SGP you have to connect together two center pins inside the USB port.
After that you can charge with any USB cable and with any battery.
More mah is better
