I often listen to music tracks that are a medley of pieces. The titles of these pieces are much more important to me than any album art ever was. I so wish I could replace the album art field with enough text lines to accommodate titles that are like 100 characters long. If this app also has a Search function, that would be a nice bonus. I currently use Songbird because it has the Search function but, the album art field irritatingly dominates nearly half of the screen. I really don't need album art at all.

You could use something like MP3Tag to just remove all your album art, I suppose....I don't know of an app that simply doesn't display it though.

None of my audio files have album art. The problem is that most audio apps I've tried dedicate at least half of the screen to album art whether any exists or not. In my case, there's a generic icon where the app wants to put album art. The text is still relegated to a tiny portion of the screen and it's usually cut off.
Rockbox is the only one I've found to display tracks the way I want. Unfortunately, it wouldn't respond properly for me and has a clunky GUI. Last edited by AugustusG; 06-23-2012 at 01:06 AM. |
