Default NWZ-S765 poor power saving options

Don't know about anyone else, but it irks me with this model that you can come back to it nearly 24hrs later and still find it in standby mode. Seems a bit *strange that Sony chose to give no user option of setting a complete power down time to sensible amounts....say 30mins, 2hrs etc. Thanks to fubu233, it looks like it might be possible to change the battery when it eventually dies, but Sony never intended for that. So maybe that 24hr standy time doesn't sound so strange after all - at least not to them .

I have a Samsung YP-Z5 that also has the 24 hour standby. What irks me is that it only saves the position in the playlist for those 24 hours, so if I miss a day, I have to re-start a playlist. The Sansa family saves the position until the battery dies.
