![]() Together with Brett_val we made the game Tactical Assassin. The game is inspired by the game Tactical Assassin, it was created by Simon Hason Game The game The game is quite simple, go by the Accelerometer to the position you want and click on the man you should shoot. There are currently five levels in the game. EXTRA! Soon I make a tutorial so you can make yourself a TA.

That typo is also in the original game. We're unsure of the font that is used, that's why it's still there..

It's a bit boring with barely any feedback that you've taken a shot. You just click the target and "hey presto" the mission accomplished screen appeared.

Have you touch the screen? Or have you 1.20.08?

Ignore Habhome, I think this is a great forwards step for you guys writing the apps. An interactive game that has a plotline, something that none of the other apps have done so far. Great effort guys.

I kinda agree with habbhome that i needs more but you have the basic code done which is great and it is still fun but has some room to add more stuff
I suggest added some sound and possibly some animation |

sorry bkblier, looks like i didnt have the latest firmware after all. i played the game, its great! the only thing i would say (aside from a couple of animations etc) is that it would be good if you could play it whilst holding the player more upright. its kinda inconvenient to have to lean over the player when youre sneakily playing the game in a maths lesson

But you can just alter the accelometer output a little: For a 45 degree viewing angle, (where 0 degree is flat on a table) add lines 180 and 181 to the "func.lua" file: Code:
line 178 x_cur,y_cur,z_cur=accelerometer.getdata("xyz")
line 179
line 180 y_cur=y_cur-5
line 181 z_cur=z_cur+3
line 182
line 183 x_cur=x_cur*-1 -- inversion of x-axis accelerometer result so that the point moves in the direction the device is tipped
I'm also thinking about some background sounds like in the original game, but I'm not sure how to add that. Last edited by Brett_val; 04-30-2010 at 12:52 PM. |

ok i will try that. thanks!
so much better now, this is ideal. another thing came to mind, perhaps a less sensitive accelerometer would be better in this screnario? the scope is kinda jerky

Are you positive you have the latest firmware on your player? That is always the first thing you check. The second is, if you have the latest firmware, is this game made for that firmware? All apps using the accelerometer are either not back-compatible or not compatible with the new firmware, due to a change in the accelerometer handling in it.

This app is adapted to the "newer" firmwares, version 1.21.05 should be ok.
