Nope, it's down. Looks like a server error.

While I saw it the other day, not anymore. Either they pulled it to not let the cat out of the bag or they're not going thru with it :/

Someone on Head-Fi speculated a little while ago that this player would be good for about 16 hours of playback with 16bit/44.1kHz FLAC files. My response to that was....

I don't think that the dual cards requires longer playback times. I like my capacity for variety sake. I would buy a clip+ with the same battery life if they added another card slot in a heartbeat, even at twice the price there would be nothing approaching its capacity and features (that are relevant to me).

Clip++ makes more sense to me seeing as there was a clip first (with no sd card slot), then a clip+ (with one), surely next logical step is either Clip++ or Clipx

Here's a link to the iriver page for th AK100. Looking at this seller's page the pre-order price is 54,800 yen(~$637 US) so it is closer to $650 than $500.

That's just a hair over what I'm willing to pay for a portable player, dual slots or no. I pretty sure I won't be getting this one.

Have to say i quite like the sticky out volume knob, if it's stiff enough might be real nice feature.

They should call it the Clip+2 if it has 2 card slots.

When fist looking at this player it looks cool, something about that brushed look is appealing. On a closer look the width VS height VS thickness seems a bit disproportional and then a potentiometer sticking out the side o_0. Don’t get me wrong, I prefer a potentiometer like portable amps have over the onboard DAP volume controls but something about this pots doesn’t look right. Maybe if they had put it on the top. When you look at how all the portable amps do it, none would function correctly on the side, well not for me … but then you have the price, sticker shock

That said, if this thing was a little cheaper, I wouldn't mind giving it a try ... sadly it's not justifiable for me.

I pretty much dismiss anything that promises support of 24/96, 24/192, and all that other voodoo crap....lol. 16/44.1 is good enough for me.
