Unhappy Rooting YP-G70 (SMP 5.0)

Hi...

I'm trying since 2 days to find a workable method to root my device. I've installed Kies which is useless piece of garbage as it cant even connect to my device. Then I tried superonleclick (both 2.2 & 2.3 versions) but for some unknown reason its giving me this error Unable to find a version of the runtime to run this application although i've the latest version of dot net framework & am running windows xp with sp3. then i've tried the method as mentioned here on xda and got the following after running it but nothing happened. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1424358)

Can someone please help me in rooting my device? Also, please could someone tell me what is the difference between rooting and installing custom roms?
