Help [Closed due to purchase] WTB: Sansa Fuze (not plus) 8GB

** Bought a couple of players from a nice lady on the forum. thank you all! **

Anyone has any idea where I can find the Sansa fuze 8GB for sale? I mean the older mode with the dial, not the new Fuze+.

I saw a few on ebay, but the pricing is unreasonable.

Thanks!

I've moved this to the Classifieds for better exposure. It will get buried in the Fuze subforum.

What do you consider unreasonable? You could probably get a used 8GB one for under $50. The issue though even with a new one is how long battery life will be, since these are all old.

Please let me know where it sells for 50 USD?

The player I had was also refurbished but worked great.

Has the original generation Fuze (with the dial) become something of a collector's/desired item?

I've seen some that have wanted the original Fuze because you can use the connector port with a LOD and an amp. I don't think that's the case here. It's more that the original Fuze was just right for mulderfox but they don't want to pay more than $50 for one. If you follow the link TDS provided you'll see you can get them on ebay but the price is higher than the $50 the mulderfox designates.

I see them on used on craigslist all the time but a fair amount of the time it's for parts or they haven't been taken care of very well. The plastic is fairly soft and if they weren't kept in a case they can get badly scratched.

Yeah, the screen in particular on them is very susceptible to scratching.

Hey! I haven't moved on from my Fuze...

...I've just made the relationship polyamorous.

Funny thing is that I haven't had a Fuze in ages, yet now I have an e280. It was an unplanned acquisition, yet I quickly found a good use for it, so it's not going anywhere.

Maybe more people should look into the e200 series rather than the original Fuze, if for no other reason that I believe you can buy replacement batteries for the e200s.

The e200s are great, for sure. The Fuze still wins for me because I prefer the landscape screen, magnetic clickwheel, and decreased weight...but v2 e200s are a solid option for those wishing to revisit the golden era of Sansa products.

Oh really, to what? The even older E280? Not the Fuze+ I hope, it's just a terrible player. The closest thing I can think of is the Cowon C2, which has no Rockbox support.

I have a couple 4gb Fuzev1's and I guess I could part with one since I mostly use my Cowon D2 or one of several Clip/Clip+'s. But the Fuze is a nice small player with a bigger screen, longer runtime, and (IIRC) more powerful amplifier than the Clip, so it kind of fills a void. The most annoying thing about it to me is the special cable, but even that has its purpose if you want to use a LOD cable.
