Default e250 V1 still going strong.

I just thought I'd keep the e200 General topic alive, just like my e250 after all these years.

It still works and keeps a charge as well as when I bought it. My wife usually takes it to the gym to listen to the radio and I sometimes use it in the car to play MP3s through the audio system on long drives.

This series was built like a tank.

I've got an e280 v1 (with Rockbox installed) that works like a champ. It's in a thick clear case, and I use it mainly at work, plugged into the stereo there. I don't know its exact battery life, but I've used it two nights in a row at work with charge to spare.

Yours is one of many, good buddy. I dropped a new battery in my Rockboxed E250 a couple of years ago and it's the one I always have down in the corner of my satchel when I leave the house. The buttons surrounding the wheel are a bit pushed in but other than that it works just fine. I've got a couple others around as sources for parts, I've just been to lazy to fix it.

I wouldn't lay out any cash to get one myself. Been there, done that. I will say that if someone was looking for a decent beater they could do a lot worse. They're definitely better than the off brand stuff I see in most stores now.

Gotta say I have a soft spot for this player (2GB, $60 refurbished back in the day). Still lying around in the house somewhere, but with a dead headphone jack and the battery is gone. Even as I moved on, I don't want to throw it out.
