Default New Nokia 105 97% cheaper than an iphone!

It even has a radio built in. I want one!

It's a weird comparison, though. Of course an ultra-low-end dumbphone is going to be much cheaper than the iPhone (or any other modern smartphone)...

...Oh, but it does come with preloaded games! Tic-tac-toe anyone?

I don't understand. There already been Sub $30 non contract cell phones for at least a year now. How is this thing special in any way? Also, there is no way that Nokia with a $20 phone is going to bring in the same profit that Apple and Samsung does from their handsets. They would literally have to sell one to every living person on this planet and perhaps their dog too. It's just a poorly written and though out article.

This is most likely aimed at developing countries, there's no way that a phone like this would sell in established markets IMO.

More about the Nokia 105

"The Nokia 105 packs a super-efficient battery to give you up to up to 12.5 hours of talk time – and up to a whopping 35 days of standby."

35 days of standby! WOW! Can an iphone do that?

Of course it can't. It wasn't designed for that.

There is a long, long, long list of things the iPhone can do that this budget phone cannot.

Clearly. JK98, you seem to be extremely selective with your criteria for device superiority. Can the Nokia 105 access the internet? Check your email? Install apps? Take a picture?

Not everyone wants those features. I just got my first smartphone and if i could have found a decent feature phone i would have bought that instead of the HTC One.

Thumbs down

There are no decent feature phones, and this is a budget phone aimed at the developing nations of the world. The battery life may be great, but that's ALL it has going for it - period. It can't even play mp3's,...it SUX!!!

Of course everyone values different features -- That's not at issue. My point was that pitting the Nokia 105 "developing-world" ultra-low-budget dumbphone (I don't think it even qualifies as a feature phone) against the iPhone is an irrevocably flawed endeavor to begin with. Their capabilities and user bases are so different, it's not even apples-to-oranges...more like raisins-to-watermelons.

My shoes can't access the internet, check my e-mail, install apps, or take a picture, however they work rather well as shoes.

I must agree,...and a shoe comparison doesn't help the argument.
