Default E280 without Rockbox and SD?

I don't really like Rockbox. Mainly because I don't need the features in it but it's just frustrating the way the controls are organized and I often can't get it to do what I want it to. Anyways, question is if there's a way to get a 4 GB or more microSD card to work with the 280 without needing Rockbox.

If you have a v2 (version 2) e280 -- which was only briefly manufactured prior to the introduction of the original Fuze -- then it will natively accept microSDHC (i.e. greater than 2GB) cards. The v1 e280 simply will not work with 4GB+ cards without Rockbox. (The version can be confirmed by checking whether the firmware number in system settings starts with either a "1" or a "2," and a v1 player cannot be converted to a v2 player -- the version number refers to the use of different hardware in each device.)
