Default Help with SD Card/Sansa Fuze

Just bought a new Sandisk 16gb Micro SD from Walmart for use with my older Sansa Fuse with the scroll wheel and could use some help. The Fuze's manual is very vague on the steps needed to be able to drag + drop music from my Win 7 laptop. I downloaded SD Formatter and did a quick format but can't seem to see the card when inserted in my Fuze and viewing it in My Computer.

If anyone could please try to help me I'd sure appreciate it - am trying to get packed for a month-long vacation and would really like to fill up my new SD Card.

The USB Mode setting on the player should be set to MSC not MTP or AutoDect. Then when you connect the player the computer will assign it a drive letter. You will also need to "safely remove" the player when you disconnect from the computer.

Why? Memory cards come pre-formatted from the factory; there's no need to format before using. At this point, you could try formatting it again, but do a full format this time, not the 'quick' version.

And you're sure you have the card fully inserted into the player, right? You will hear 2 faint clicks as the mechanism grabs it and locks it into place. The top edge of the card should barely protrude past the player casing, or be almost flush.

Can you see the card in the player when it's not connected to the computer? Does it it show in device manager are you using a front or rear usb port. When you connect the player what shows on the players screen?
