Default File limit and firmware questions for D20...

I read concerns with file limits on the D2 that may also be present on the D20. I'm not all that tech savvy and I'm not 100% sure what "file limits" even means. So here's my question: I just purchased a D20 with only 8gb internal storage. My music library is about 12gb, so at least some of it will have to go on the SD card...will I have access to all of it, or will I have file limit issues?

Also, where can I find out what the latest/best firmware version is?

Thanks.

Welcome to our brand new Cowon D20 forum. The link to the only firmware update I've found is in the Firmwares Section. It doesn't appear to be a much of a change. It seems to just be a change to the battery indicator.

The D20 manual gives the file limits as 12,000 files total per memory. That's divided up as 8,000 media files and 4,000 other files. You might hit that if you format a 64 GB card FAT32 and use that as the external memory. Unless you use really low bitrate files you shouldn't have to give that a second thought for the internal memory.
