Help Unbricking Advice Needed - Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0 (YP-G70CW/XEU)

I have a Samsung Galaxy S WiFi 5.0 - YP-G70CW/XEU (Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0), it has no removable battery. I soft-bricked it while trying to upgrade from Froyo 2.2.2 to Gingerbread using Odin 1.82 (see image). When the power button is held down the screen goes black & then comes on again, so it has to be kept on charge, it will not go into download mode & only shows image when on charge.

I have sucessfully unbricked one of these devices before using Heimdall One Click but this time it failed. There are various methods for doing this, some involving stock rom's. I cannot identify the correct rom in these lists (if there is one):

I am not allowed to post a request for my device & don't want to use the wrong method or rom, I prefer to use Linux if possible although installing software in Linux can sometimes be challenging. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

OS: Windows 7 & Ubuntu 10.04 LTS

the phone--!--computer image is a forced download mode, get odin 1.85 not 1.82, if you use heimdall you need to make sure and install the drivers (that override the ones odin uses) before or you will never succeed.
