Problems with Manage Organiser Data?

Got a new Creative Zen V Plus on Saturday and have been tinkering with it since. I got it to synch with Outlook before realising that a 'spring clean' of my Outlook was long overdue.

Now I have a load of useless old contact details on my Zen (that I've since deleted from my PC). I want to delete these old contacts from my Zen too but synching hasn't worked as the old contacts are still there.

So I try to open Manage Organiser Data in Zen Media Explorer so I can delete them from there. And it opens - for about 1 second before disappearing. What's going on? And how do I get rid of the old contacts from my Zen?

And while I'm at it, is there an easy way to search contacts e.g. alphabetically?
